This gondola is parked in front of the Caveletto Hotel near San Marco's Square. In regards to the gondolas, the design of them and the fact that they are black and a contrast to the bright blue, red, yellow pillows, seats, or oars that interest me. This particular area when you come out of San Marcos square which is on the right; you come across what is a virtual parking lot for gondolas. There must be fifty gondolas all clustered in this one area. I've taken many many pictures of this one area, and I've turned a couple into paintings. Each one is quite different from the others.
